Well, so much for storenvy... :P

Yeah, uh, as the title says, I no longer use storenvy... Due to my distrusting nature and whatnot. ^^;

To put it simply, they asked for information that I was not willing to give.

So, now I'm on Etsy!

At the moment, as in, right as I'm typing this, there are only 5 things in the shop. But they are some of my favorite things that I have made, and thus, I feel that they should sell... eventually. ^^;

So... Yeah... CHECK MY NEW STORE OUT!

Something I'm Thankful For... (Belated Thanksgiving Post)

As you all may know, I'm not exactly 'normal'... In my hobbies or my fashion style. But, my family has almost always supported me in my weird endeavors. And if they didn't at first,  they eventually did, simply because they're nice people.
Even my extended family, whether I'm talking about grandma/grandpas/cousins/aunts/uncles/ or my super close friends (who I consider family), even they accepted it, even though many of them didn't fully understand it.

A part of me thinks that the only reason they accepted everything so simply is because they, themselves, already have enough weirdness to deal with... but another part thinks that it's also because they really do love and care about me. And so, for that, I'm thankful.

One of my cousins is a complete comic-book geek, not manga, comic-books. And, he actually works as a letterer for some comics (Nothing big... yet). He also has a business of making things out of old comic-books, like a cute bracelet he made for me one Christmas, though he normally makes things like wallets and buttons. But I digress, my point is that he was already in the 'otaku culture', so he knew about cosplay. So, but of course, when I came to him, dressed in lolita, he decided that it was cosplay, and still, to this day, I think, believes that it's a costume/ me pretending to be someone else. But, he accepts it as part of me. Even though he doesn't fully understand it.

In a somewhat related note, my grandparents also don't fully understand it, but, sadly, I think have a better grasp on it than my cousin. I think this because my grandparents were alive in the 50s and stuff, an era in which petticoats and big skirts were a normal thing, though the skirts weren't quite as big as ours. Also, my grandparents are able to see the influence of past eras in lolita fashion, For instance, one time, I came down in lolita while my grandparents were over, and my grandma exclaimed, with stars in her eyes, "She looks like my grandmother!"

And then, there are my otaku friends. Some of which almost fully understand lolita, very few of which are actually into lolita fashion, but are scared to attempt it, and some of which view it as a form of lolicon... UGH. Naturally, I have the most difficulty with the last ones (and aren't really friends with them...).

And my lolita friends/community are for a whole other thing.

And here is a ramble-y video that seems to tell my entire infant lolita life-story

I keep trying to sew... XD (big sewing/shop update)

I have taken a major step in my fashion designer life... I have begun to sell shirts I made, on storenvy... Only thing is... I've yet to sell ANYTHING that I've made, my polymer clay accessories included! So, to put it simply, no one seems to want them.

Naturally, because I'm paranoid, I automatically assume that this means that my stuff is not up to par. SO, now I'm wondering if I should even keep going, but that's not what this is about... This is about my eternal struggle with my mom's old sewing machine/ my lack of technique.

My mom's sewing machine is old, not as old as the only other sewing machine I can use is, but it is old. It's, like, from the 80s or something. (The other one is my grandma's and thus at least around 10 years older, I think...) But the problem isn't that it's old... The problem is that it's simply designed and not made for as much sewing as I do... It's about as simple as you can get, and it had never been used for more than fixing a little rip in some jeans, or something, before I got my hands on it. So, I think I've just about killed the poor thing.

But that's enough of me complaining about my mom's sewing machine.

I have another problem... I'm not capable of going to school for fashion design since all my options, as far a schools go, are too far away and/or expensive. And as a result, I am completely self-taught. Leaving much to be desired in my technique, I'll be the first to admit it, everything I make, is made rather sloppily. But I just keep on trying...
Why?
Because this is one of the few things I'm good at, one of the few things that inspire me, that make me happy, and that can keep my small attention span's attention.

I think that's enough about me... XD
Lemme show you the latest items for sale in my store! ('Cause I'm shameless like that!)

< This one was my first attempt at 'normal-ish' clothes... The result was a tank-top that was made of thick fuzzy/furry material... So basically, the result was a shirt that made no sense, but was cute.
To the bottom left is the second one, this one made more sense... It has light, stretchy materials, and is short-sleeved, making it good for warmer weather (Meanwhile, I don't know what kind of weather you could wear the above one in).
And then came another nonsensical tank-top. Again, it was made using heavy fabrics(though not as heavy this time), denim. And this was my first attempt at some kind of tailoring, with some dart-like thingymabobbers. And then, because it felt empty, I added a giant heart  made of sparkly netting and some random purple ribbon... Yeah... I probably would've been better off with only one of those, instead of both.

Now it's time to show my lovely models wearing them~!

As always, these are available at my storenvy store: http://kidforocks.storenvy.com/

Long Overdue, Negative Review (ilovecirclelenses.com)

I have always been a faithful, loyal person... When I find something that works, I stick to it.
However, I feel that I should address this issue, even though, for all I know, it could be fixed by now.
ilovecirclelenses.com, to put it simply, sort of betrayed my trust. After years of orders, great orders with excellent shipping, they seemed to disappear from the face of the earth. And after ordering with them again, for what ended up being the last time, that's when it happened.

Now, I don't wish to particularly discredit them, I just want to warn others.

Back, waaaay back, around May, I ordered my lenses from them. I thought that all was well... but I was wrong. After many days, past the amount of time that it would've normally taken for the lenses to get to me, nothing had happened. So, naturally, I contacted them. They said nothing. So I contacted them again, and again, the last time telling them that I wanted to avoid opening a paypal dispute, but may have no choice but to. That got their attention. They sent me a tracking number, which I stalked for a day or two... only to have nothing happen. So, I contacted them again. And got nothing.

Throughout all of this, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, because, like I said earlier, I'm a loyal person who believes that "If it's not broke, don't fix it!"

And thus, the paypal battle began... Which is seriously overly dramatic since ilovecirclelenses did nothing. They didn't answer paypal. They said and did nothing once the dispute opened. And after a while, paypal gave up and just gave me my money back...

Sooo, yeah. Just warnin' ya, ilovecirclelenses.com pretty much doesn't exist anymore last time I checked... the website is there... but it doesn't seem like there is anyone working there anymore. :/

New York is kinda stupid sometimes... :/

I know, it's an abnormally mean title coming from me... or anyone, in my opinion.
BUT the New York City Subway System is rather stupid. (Thank God for friendly homeless people!)

Two of my friends, my mom, and I went to New York this past weekend, yeah? Well, it'd been a while since we had been on the subway in New York (which, by the way, is, like, the least user-friendly subway system out of the three cities I've been to that have subways/metros/whatevers... aka, LA and DC and NYC), and we were sooo lost. I knew which train we wanted to take, and what station we were going to get off on, but we didn't know what kind of ticket to buy... There were three kinds: Single-Ride; Metro-Card; and Quick Metro-Card. We were stupid and bought single rides, completely unaware that each credit card was limited to only two per day... We had four people and two cards, so we managed to get to the Btssb store... but we didn't know that, because of this stupid rule, we were going to end up trapped in the 2 Ave. Station, trying to get back, but unable to. BUT THEN CAME OUR SAVIOR! A nice homeless man, who noticed that we were, obviously, tourists, and were, obviously, stuck, walked up to the ticket machine and started pushing buttons for us after asking us where we were trying to get to. And his help got us back to Times Square, which let us get back to the hotel!!!

I wanted to hug that nice man! (But didn't due to stranger-danger instincts and the fact that both of us were drenched in sweat...) Sadly, we didn't have any money smaller than a $20 (which we were saving for food and stuff), and we felt bad that we couldn't give him some money for his help, but we had plenty of water bottles! :D  So, of course, we gave him the last cold one, and he smiled, thanking us and exclaiming, "You saw I was sweatin'!"

Sooo, yeah, New York, as a city? The subway system is totally stupid... and NOT USER-FRIENDLY!! D:
But the people, or well, at least those that care about New York's thriving tourism trade, or maybe just care about people, they're nice. And helpful!

Half Educational/Half Kawaii NYC Haul~

Yep, just as the title says, when I went shopping, I successfully split it in half between educational stuff and kawaii stuff! YES! While I spent more money on the kawaii stuff, of course, I did manage to buy two cute/lolita things and two educational things! And that was all of my money... I'm poor... :(

Hehehe... Anyways~ ^^;
My haul video is below!

Baby, the Stars Shine Bright in New York City!!! :3

Alright, trip's over!
I will now share my experience at the one and only: Baby the Stars Shine Bright store in NYC!
The first day we got to New York, we went to the store immediately after we got to the hotel in NJ, rode a bus to NYC, then took the subway to the Baby store! Needless to say, for those of you that saw how I planned on dressing to go to the store, y'all can probably figure out that I was SWEATING TO DEATH! D:
"Why is this important?" you may ask... Trust me, it's important.

SO! We got to the Btssb/TokyoRebel store about 30 mins before closing or so (I wasn't paying attention to the time) I was drenched in sweat, so, of course, I didn't dare try anything on, but if I wanted to, I could've tried up to 5 items! (Which, duh, isn't that much in America, 'cause, I don't know about you, but I try on, like, 10 things minimum at most stores(Then again, most stores have a lot bigger selection than Baby-san))
Anyways! One of my best friends, who accompanied me on the trip, and is a complete gothic/punk/raver/sometimes lolita/whatever chick, she fell in love with the TokyoRebel side of the store... that's right, the store is one store with half the store in pink, and the other half in black, this confused the crap out of my mother, who thought for sure that it'd be two stories. XD
But, like I was saying, my friend tried on a SEX POT ReVeNGe shirt. White with black straps/buckles around the chest and arms, and with detachable black sleeves! And all along the bottom were these cool lace-y, tulle-y, netting stuff, that looked all torn up. IT WAS SWEET :D
Sadly, though, I've no pictures... 'cause no pictures are allowed in the store, my other friend learned that the hard way when she tried to get a picture of my gothic friend in the shirt and the Baby-san shop-girl put her hand in front of the camera, much to the horror of my other friend XD
EDIT: Actually, here's a picture of her shirt, 'cause I've finally looked it up on TokyoRebel's site... ^^;
2 Way Bondage Gauze Cutsew
It's called the 2-way bondage gauze cutsew
Back to me, yes?
While my friend was trying on the shirt, I was trying out the Usakumya-chan pochette. I'm pretty sure that the shop staff thought I was nutty, since I immediately went up to the counter, asked to see a usakumya pochette, then asked to rip it's hood off and stick my hand down there.

You might be yelling at me that I'm a tactless idiot, but I was spending almost all my money at this store, on this thing, and I wanted to make sure that my hand could even fit inside!

But the shop staff, if they did think I was nutty, it didn't show. The TokyoRebel shop-girl was at the counter, so she dealt with most of my craziness, and she was soooo nice, and cool-looking! She just asked me what color I wanted, to which I replied, "Pink!" She knew which on I wanted since they only had the one type that had any pink on it, and she grabbed it and handed it to me. That was when I asked if I could open it and see if my hand would get down there. Her smile faltered, most likely because she wasn't sure if she was going to make the sale anymore, but she nodded, pulled the hood off for me, unzipped it, and handed it back to me. The only thing? My hands were VERY SWEATY...
But I tried! I stuck my hand as far down as it would go! And it didn't go past the neck 'cause my hands were sticky! D:
That's when my mom stepped in, took it from me and stuck her hand all the way to the bottom, and I knew that her hands were either bigger or the same size as mine, so I went ahead and asked to buy it. The shop-girl asked me if I wanted the one I had been messing with, or a new, shrink-wrapped one, I felt bad that I had stuffed my sweaty hands down into the display one, so I took the display one!
While my mom was paying, I chatted to the Baby-san shop-girl, she was nice, though she gave off a slightly elitist air, but that easily could've just been my paranoia since I was wearing a 'lesser brand': Bodyline. Which upped my self-consciousness at the 'big brand' store. But she talked with me,and we chatted about the only remaining headdress in stock. And the moment I said, "I'm cheating," while talking about my head accessory ('cause I kinda DID cheat since I didn't use something meant for the head on my head...) she jumped right in and said, "No you aren't, it's just different from our stuff!" Which really made my paranoia go down some...
And she was really cute...

Back to the pochette!
My mother had bought it, and passed it back to me. I began trying to stick things in it immediately.
NOTE: Things the size of or bigger than a large-ish wallet will NOT FIT!
My phone, thankfully, did. (And I think I gave the shop staff a heart attack when the tone of my voice became gruff and I muttered, "If not even my phone fits in here, we're gonna have a problem...")

While my friend was buying her shirt, the Baby-san shop-girl helped me put the pochette on and loosened the strap for me, so I could wear it across my body. Then my mom kept asking me if I needed a drink (which I'm pretty sure aren't allowed in the store, so I said 'no'), and then she asked the TokyoRebel shop-girl for a tissue. The shop-girl replied that she didn't have any tissues, but she had paper towels! So I took one and blotted my sweaty face, and when I was done I asked where the trashcan was, and to that, the shop-girl said, "I'll just take it for you." AND SHE TOOK MY GROSS AND SWEATY PAPER TOWEL AND THREW IT AWAY! HOW NICE IS THAT?! I mean, I'm pretty sure that the trashcan was behind the counter, so she couldn't let me back there of course, but still! It was nice that, without a single flinch or groan, she took something so gross and threw it away for me!

SO TL;DR:
I LOVE THE STORE!
The shop staff (for that day, at least) were soooo nice! And didn't seem to be completely disgusted with my super sweaty self, and didn't seem to really care that I wasn't wearing Baby! And while I was there, I saw lots of people that weren't even wearing lolita coming in and looking around! And the shop staff were nothing but nice to them!

Usakumya pochette
This be the kind of adorable usakumya-chan pochette that I got!

Biggest Trip of My Short Life... :D

Okay, as many of you in the lolita circuit know, the one and only: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, has opened a store on the east coast, which happens to be where I live.
Of course, however, being broke, and young, and living in the south, and all, I was unable to attend the grand opening... :(

BUT! My wonderful mother offered to take me and two friends up there~ We leave this week! "Why the heck do I care?" you may be asking... The truthful answer? You probably don't care! But I'm excited... Thus, I am sharing!

Another question you may be asking is: "Why the heck is this so exciting?"
Answer? Because I've never been inside (Or directly outside) a lolita store!

This isn't even my first time going to NYC, in fact, it's, like, my sixth... But I feel like this is going to be the most exciting trip yet! I've got it all planned! Maps and all! Coords even!
My makeup for the trip was carefully crafted over many test-runs, and many outfit changes... ^^;
My most recent, and probably official, test-run is below~

Wish me luck and fun~! <3

How Much Do You Know About Lolita? Dear Sister?

Yo! ^3^
I recently made a video with my awesome and hilarious sister, Rebecca! It was the ever fun 'how much do you know about lolita?' Lolita Quiz! I forgot a few questions, but, eh, no harm no foul~ ^^;
I also added some questions of my own! (More like I tweaked the 'name the print' section of the quiz...)
And, like I said, she is HILARIOUS! And, no, it wasn't scripted, thus my shaky and nervous voice... I just had the sheets of paper with pictures and questions on them, other than those, I was on my own! (And my sister doesn't count as support, since she just kept flustering me with her hilarity...)

Right. so... HERE YA GO~!

Here's the first part, which lags horribly and actually chopped up the audio for a few seconds at one point... but, hey, like my sister said, my laptop is a toaster... ^^;

Second part below~

Again, I apologize for the quality... but at least this one doesn't lag nearly as bad as the first part!

False Lash Review: Dolly Wink no. 10 (Sweet Cat)

Hello~ I'm finally getting up off my big lazy butt and writing a review!
Obviously, as said by the title, it's for the Dolly Wink no. 10 false eyelashes! (Also known as 'Dolly Wink: Sweet Cat') I've had these for a while, and have only worn them a couple of times(once in my house, and once to a BJD meetup), but I must say, they're rather spectacular!Let's have a look-see, yes?

A look at how Tsubasa wears them, shown on the packaging.

Now, this was taken after I had worn the top pair for the first time, thus the whole 'they aren't perfect-looking-ness'. Now, these are my first criss-cross, 'natural', lashes. And I say that they do their job of looking natural, all while looking so wonderfully unnatural, because, I mean really, who has lashes this long and luxurious-looking? It takes some work to get them looking completely like your real lashes (It involves a lot of pushing some areas up and some areas down... for my eyes at least...). It comes with glue, which I don't trust due to my natural paranoia... even though, with my last pair of Dolly Winks, I used it and it worked great!
Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of the packaging, but it looks the same as my Dolly Wink no. 1, except this one is purple. It's still a cute little perfume/ shampoo/ body wash/ something toiletries-ish bottle.
Let's have a look at how they look on, yes?

This is with them both on... This was the first time I had worn them, so please excuse my uncomplimentary make-up

And here it is with only one on, so you can see the difference it makes
In my opinion, the last picture, the one of me only wearing one, shows you exactly how big a difference a simple false eyelash can make! Again, this is just my opinion, but I believe that the eye with the eyelash looks more open and awake, maybe even a little more 'come-hither'.
NOW, WARNING TIME!
The lash band is BLACK, which means that either one of two things is gonna happen with these lashes: 1) If you put it on without any eyeliner, it will give you eyeliner. 2) If you put it on without any eyeliner and it's not perfectly placed, it's gonna look funky (not the good kind of funk).

Now that that's out of the way, SELCA/ SELFIE TIME~
(I will forever prefer 'selca' over 'selfie' since 'selca' was first and it's name makes more sense ('self-camera'), plus, I love k-pop)

The wig I'm wearing can actually be bought a Pretty and Cute!

The beginning of a polymer clay adventure...!

Hello~ I bet you've all missed me? No? (What do you mean, I have no followers?) OH well~! The reason I've been gone is because of polymer clay... is what I wish I could say... BUT the truth is that I was just being really lazy! :P
Onto the polymer clay now!
I recently have been craving some cute jewelry, but haven't been able to find some that was cheap enough! I mean, I found plenty of cute things, but they were all just simply out of the range of my ridiculously low budget! Now, I had recently found some cute little dessert-themed jewelry at a local mini-con~ I got a macaron necklace, a cookie hair clip, and a giant ice-cream ring! I loved the macaron the most, but, again, I couldn't find any rings or hair clips that were also macarons! THUS, I decided to make some, and make some I did...
Strawberry ice-cream

Blue, slightly melty, ice-cream~!

MACARONS~!!
Now, sadly, I only have pictures of the ones I'm selling, so... yeah... These are the ones that I made, but just didn't connect with... In other words, they weren't macarons (Except for that last one, but I made two sets of those, so~)
Basically, the whole point of this post is to not only promote my store, but to also ask for opinions! So, are they cute? Or not?
Here are the links to each of these accessories~

BJD Updates from March 2, 2014 to April 8, 2014

Obviously, this one is going to be shorter than the last one... BUT~ I just couldn't wait to share with the world my dolls' current situations!

1. IT CAME~! What is IT, you may ask? Why it's Xander and Ethan's body!C:
BOX OPENING BELOW~ (Along with pictures~!)

2. There was a little mix up involving my order from Jeeryama, but they were nothing but nice to me and explained what to do about the problem. What was the problem? They sent me another person's order! (Though.... because of the mess up... I got to play with a really cool chest, until we realized what it was and quickly stopped touching it... XD ) But, I was truly crushed when I got my package from China, saw that it was tiny for something that was supposed to be a 1/3 scale doll body, opened it, and found some kind of old-style travel trunk (miniature, of course). I must say, it was very detailed... rather impressive really.. I took some pictures once I found out what it was, purely because I knew that I would probably never see another one for the rest of my life... And I wanted to remember it after we sent it back to China. PICS BELOW~

3. I pierced Ethan's ears, on the earlobe... Link to the blog post about it is right here -> http://kidforocks.blogspot.com/2014/03/bjd-ear-piercing.html

4. I have decided to give Bai a wig... As well as give Xiao a wig that actually fits... Though, I've yet to buy the wigs... I've also decided what sculpt Alexis/Lexi (Alex and Sasha's little sister) will be! And boy, will she look like a mini Xiao-Hong! XD

5. Took Xiao and Xander's wedding pictures... keep in mind that these are probably not the official ones, but merely the 'test-run pics' of sorts (mostly because Xiao's dress was torn to pieces by me while I was tailoring it and trying to get it to fit her body... ^^;)

6. The extra hands, that always come with the body, were the wrong resin color... But I''m waaay too lazy to make a fuss about it.... Besides, I'm learning to love the 'creeper hands'! :P

Xander and Ethan's Body's box opening~

Here is Ethan, who has no clothes of his own yet, so is simply wearing the temporary clothes that I made, which I ended up deciding belonged to Xander, since they just weren't goth-y enough for Ethan... XD
Xander, in his sweet shirt and weird jeans~!
Xander in his suit/ dress clothes

And here is the infamous chest/trunk/whatever! This is what I got instead of my body... It's very expensive and brand-name, so once we noticed the brand name on it, I stopped playing around with it and just took a few pictures before we shipped it back to Beijing.

I know that I should've been uber excited that I got to hold/ play with/ take pictures of this trunk... but I couldn't really care less, I was too busy being upset that it wasn't my doll! XD

Now, since your curiosity has been sated from getting to see what they sent me by accident, let's get back to the BJDs, yes? :D

Looking aloof and in love~

Leaning against each other~

Holding hands~! <3

BJD Ear-piercing~!

So... I don't know if you guys noticed, but Ethan? He's kind of a punk/goth-y character as far as his style goes. THUS, I decided to pierce his ears!

Now, ear-piercing is not always the solution to your dolls' earring-needing needs... But, in this case, where I wanted to be able to change his earrings as often (or not often) as I wished, I decided that modding my doll was the best choice. This is a PERMANENT mod! So, BEWARE! Use caution, and do something that I didn't do on the first ear (Hey, it's a learning experience!): use something to make an indentation on the ear before you start drilling! (can you tell that I'm having fun with different font-thingies? XD) On the second ear, I used the tip of the drill bit to lightly, barely drill in, making an indentation, before I started pushing into the ear some to really drill it. Because I didn't make an indentation on the first ear, the pin vise slipped... and his piercing ended up off near the edge of his earlobe... Yeah... But, I learned quickly from my mistake, and pierced the second ear, in my opinion, perfectly~!

Now, down to business... ㅡㅅ ㅡ  (random 'serious kitty' face~!)

I recommend that you wear a mask (and do this outside, if possible), 'cause as you probably already know, resin is dangerous when inhaled...

Sadly, I didn't film it... 'cause I was just way too excited to do my first mod, and didn't even think of filming it. But, I will tell you guys how I did it, and show you the end product!

Step 1. Check out your doll's ears... I know, it sounds weird and creepy, but we (or at least I) do some weird stuff with, or stare creepily at, our dolls. Anyways~ If the earlobe is cast to the head, don't even bother looking any farther. You can only safely pierce you doll's ear(s) if their earlobe is not attached to their head. If it's attached, then you're probably going to drill into its head, which would make your doll very sad and make you sad.

Step 2. Get a small manual hand drill (I used a Hobbico pin vise which was only $11 and came with, like, 5 or 6 drill bits (I got it at my local hobby store)) Do NOT get an electric drill, and do NOT try using yours, the heat from it will melt the plastic/resin, plus you'll have, like NO CONTROL.

Step 3. Mark with a pencil (just a normal one is fine, you're going to be drilling away that spot anyways...) where you want the piercings. Check, using your psychic powers, if it's too close to, in the back, where your doll's ear and head meet. If it is, simply erase it quickly and re-mark. (You also have to decide now what angle you're going to drill at)

Step 4. This is where I had the most trouble, so I'll tell you how I did it. Firstly, get the earring you're going to put in your doll's ear (small human ones work well for 1/3 scale dolls). Hold the post up to the drill bits and select whichever drill bit is closest to the size of the earring post. Put that one in your drill.

Step 5. MAKE THE INDENTATION!

Step 6. Get your drill and position it so that you won't drill into the head if you get too drill-happy (also, for extra safety, put the eraser of the pencil you used earlier (assuming you used a mechanical pencil) behind the ear, in between the ear and the head).

Step 7. Start drilling! Constantly check that the angle is right, and how close you are to breaking through!  When you're almost through, you should be able to see a grayish-blueish dot on the back of your doll's ear...

Step 8. Once done, don't pull your drill right out, turn it the opposite direction a little first, or the whole way, if necessary.

Step 9. Stick the earrings in~! And you're DONE!

GOOD LUCK~! <3

BJD updates~ (updates from November 22, 2013 to March 2, 2014)

1. I got Xander's head.
2. I got Xander's identical twin brother's head as well (box opening below) (yay for birthdays!)
3. I ordered a Doll Family- A 2nd gen 1/3 body for them from jeeryama on ebay (I am currently waiting for it to be made) (again, yay for birthdays! (or birthday money, in this case))
4. Decided to make Inhyung someone else. Her name is Bai Jing-Jing Ning now (<- those first two names are beyond cute when written in Chinese). She's the other, new, Inhyung's little sister. (tho I still don't have the new Inhyung doll... lol, 인형 doll... i sorta made a pun-thingy...) XD
5. Decided on all my dolls', even the ones I don't have yet, names.
6. OH! Almost forgot! Also got Alex and Sasha's mother as a graduation present! <3 (box opening, again, is below)
7. Went to IKEA, got those duktig beds for Sasha and Alex... and sometimes their mother.

Little update as to how my dolls look now (and their full names):
I apologize for my (probably) horrible Chinese, as I don't speak or read Chinese and am using a mixture of babynames.com, google, wikipedia, and google translate ^^; So, if you happen to know Chinese names well, and I messed up, feel free to correct me!

 Here's my little man, Sasha Xiao-Chen () Lucas~ >.<
I changed his wig to a white wool one, other than that, nothing has really changed... And he's sitting in his bed, holding the pillow I made him and being surrounded by fluffy white pillows I also made him~ ^3^
This would be Alexandra 'Alex' Li-Xue () Lucas, with her new long flowing, pink, curly locks~ Also in her bed, for which I made everything~
This is Alex and Sasha's (as well as their little sister who I don't have yet, Lexi's) dad! Alexander 'Xander' Haydn Lucas! His character is not Chinese... obviously... so no Chinese here... or for his twin brother... And he's just a head right now, but he'll get to at least try on a body within the next month~
This is Alex, Alexis, and Sasha's mother, Xiao-Hong () 'Xiao ()' Qi () Lucas. She be a fabulous Only-Doll Chiyao... ALSO! Her head is 7/8... I bought 8/9 since she's 1/3 scale... T^T But I was wrong.... beware the head size!!
And lastly, is another floating head I did, which will hopefully soon have a body... Ethan Sasha Lucas!

And here's Bai (formerly know as Inhyung)'s name written in Chinese ('cause her first and middle names are seriously adorable in my opinion (not to mention very easy to write!))And I'm aware that commonly, Bai would be the family name/surname/last name, but it's so cute~ >3< And there's no picture because she looks the exact same as she did when I 'took inventory' at the end of last year:
Bai () Jing-Jing (晶晶) Ning ()

PS: If you're wondering why my Chinese-named dolls have middle names, it's 'cause none of my characters, including Xiao and Bai, are Chinese, as in, from China... (tho, the dolls themselves are all made by Chinese companies (except Bai... she's Hujoo.. which is Korean), which helped me decide to at least give most of them Chinese middle names.) However, Bai's grandparents and Xiao's grandparents are both from China.)

BOX OPENINGS~!

Circle Lens Review~ Max Misty Brown on light eyes

Haha~ Long overdue review is coming your way! I got these complimentary a while back, due to a mess up with my order, from ilovecirclelenses.com. If you check out my Candy Magic Violet review, you'll see me talk about the lenses shortly and go more in depth as to what the mess up was. Now, these are weird (good weird) lenses, lemme tell you why.

Design: This is where the weirdness starts. They have about two or three colors in them, the weirdness is the color choices. But this isn't really the color section, so I'll focus more on the design.
Which features a good-sized ring around the edge, and a nice blending of colors.

Color: Onto the real weirdness~!! They are, I swear, yellow. Even the darker, supposedly brown, parts towards the outside are really rather golden. BUT, this works! Why? Because my eyes' innermost color is actually gold/yellow/ridiculously light brown. SO, it actually blends in rather well!

Enlargement: Pretty nice... IDK if I'm just simply becoming desensitized to enlargement, but nothing seems to really make my eyes look huge anymore. I feel that I've lost my objectivity... ANYWAYS~ C: They are, I believe, only 14.5mm, which is small for a circle lens.

Comfort: Very nice~ I like~

Suited for light eyes?
Hmm... I think so~! They blend in well with the one color that pretty much everyone has in their eyes: gold/yellow/ridiculously light brown! :)

Help my friend! C: (...if you actually want some things I'm selling, that is...)

YO! So, as the title says, one of my friends needs some help. Some financial help... NOW, I'm not begging for money or anything, in fact, if you dare try and give us a handout, I will put up a protest.
Point being: check out my storenvy store so my friend can pay for something important... As for anything that used to be hers, if it sells, the money will go to her.
The stuff that used to be hers? Some CDs (of which the most expensive is $3, so... come on...)  and 2 Naruto Akatsuki cloaks (which she set the price at $35 each since she paid about $50 for each of them) Soooo... yeah, just letting y'all know that my friend needs some money, and if you want any of that stuff, and decide to buy it, the money will go to her instead of me... (So, for those that hate me or something, feel free to dangle money in front of my face, only to have it given away to a worthy cause (and those that like me, still, please buy it if you want it, 'cause that'd make me happy as well as sad... XD ))
UPDATE: my friend has managed to buy the most important thing that she needed to buy, but she still needs money, just not as urgently

Faceups...

I am going to level with y'all... I want to be able to do lots of faceups.. but so far, I can only do these natural-looking faceups. However, I have only tried to do a faceup on the Doll Family- A 1/3 practice head. Twice. Trying to, the second time, be unnatural. But no, he looks goth-y like I wanted, but... still so naturally goth-y... :/ Well, it's kinda a win/win 'cause I didn't really want an unnatural faceup for him, I just wanted a goth-y look... But I wanted to try! >.<
I tried, and, I think, failed. Lemme show ya.

This is what I started with: The Doll Family- A practice head

This was the first faceup I did, the one that was supposed to be natural, and was...

This was supposed to be 'unnatural'... yeah...

Another angle~
So, what do you think? Should I just give in and accept my natural faceup-ness fate? Or shall I rebel and try again?

Circle Lens Review~ Magic Eye Diacut Amethyst on light eyes

Bonjour~! Is everyone having a good day? ...Well, I'm not really.
Why?
Because my fancy fancy expensive circle lenses don't look amazing on my eyes!
Now, I can't really complain however, since they were complimentary because of some mess ups with my order. (I <3 ilovecirclelenses.com! They're so nice!) And thus, the review begins~

Design: Now, as the name says, it is a gemstone-esque design. In this case, due to the color, it is based off an amethyst. It literally looks rather like a purple diamond in a brilliant cut. It has a good sized ring... but has a large pupil hole and no colors to possibly blend into my eye.

Color: They look like a light purple, rather lilac-y off, but look rather dark on. It's more obviously purple than the candy magic purples for some reason... It's interesting. :P

Enlargement: Hmm, well, it has a rather nice enlargement... But, well, it's just not big enough for me, personally. It doesn't seem to enlarge my eye a lot. Though, it does enlarge.

Comfort: uhhh... I know that these are 'premium lenses' and whatever, but... I've yet to wear them without ANY irritation. However, they DO let my eyes breathe more, due to their nifty super-thinness. It may just be the batch.. I'll have to wait until I try the crystal... or was it diamond? Either way, the gray ones!

Suited for light eyes?
I don't really think so.. unless you want the stark difference between your eyes and your fake eyes.

Circle Lens Review~ EOS Ice Gray/Grey on light eyes

Whoo~~! After years of searching, I think that it may have been found! 'What is it?' you may ask... well, anyone that has looked at this blog should know my quest, when it comes to circle lenses, which is: CIRCLE LENSES SUITED FOR LIGHT(blue) EYES!
Now, I believe that I may have found one... Let's see, shall we?

Design: It's really rather simple, not as simple as some other lenses I've had, but pretty simple (which is probably one of the reasons why it works). It's just a little, thin ring around the edge, with some lines going through to about halfway to the middle. And throughout, is a nice light gray.

Color: They're gray (or grey, however you happen to spell it). And one thing that circle lenses has forced me to realize, is this: eyes have a lot of colors in them. (duh) My own eyes have about three colors, and depending upon how big the pupil hole is for the lenses, the color of lens that I need will change. This lens has a rather large pupil hole, so I went with gray ('cause that's the outermost color on my real eye). AND IT MATCHES, LIKE, PERFECTLY! <3 I seriously can't tell where my eyes begin to blend into the lens.

Enlargement: Surprisingly, despite the light color, and despite the small ring, it ENLARGES. Like... LOOK DOWN BELOW... But, at the same time, it just blends in so well, and the ring isn't overwhelming, so it looks NATURAL! C: If I was having a lazy day, and didn't feel like putting on any eye makeup, I just might be able to get away with it XD

Comfort: Wonderful~~~! Need I say more? No? Well, I shall anyways~
1. They went in easy, despite the size.
2. They didn't dry out fast or anything.
3(sorta a continuation of 2). I can wear them for a long time... probably longer than I should ^^;

Suited for light eyes??
As I said earlier, I think these may be the ones... But, as far as how they'd work for other eyes? Well... If your eyes are like mine, buy them if you want them. If your eyes are green, well, I'm not sure then. However, gray eyes? This lens is a true gray, as in, it looks like the gray eye color, so y'all should have no problem.
