Review: Etsy Fake Nails (Aya1gou - Harajuku, Big Bows, 3D Bow, Kawaii Nails...etc)

Hi! It's been a while~ ^^; But I'm here! And I have a review for y'all! Now, I had been looking everywhere for some affordable, but still super cute and hopefully durable, fake nails. And I think I've found some...!

These things are adorable, long, lengthening, and have some acrylic bows/hearts along with some adorable polka dot nail polish and little tiny nail rhinestones! Every nail is decorated with either a bow with a rhinestone at the knot, or two little hearts with two rhinestones in between~ And then, of course, they are all painted with a french style manicure with bright pastel colors and white dots!

Now then, how about you walk with me through my unboxing?

Now, these were packaged super cutely, except for the cardboard box, but even that was taped shut with cute little utensil tape~! Also, for those wondering, I am able to type and game with these on, as I have typed this entire post with them on, and thus, I should be able to press, like, five letters to game. And they are super flattering on my totally fat little fingers~ Make 'em look long and thin!! XD

Here is a link to the shop, not to the listing I bought these from as that listing is now invalid... yeah, one only! :D (For now, at least...) https://www.etsy.com/shop/Aya1gou?ref=l2-shopheader-name
But I promise that you'l find something cute! She has a lot of nails and they're all awesome and rather cheap, averaging around $20, but going as low as $9!

Also, if you enjoy lenses as well as nails, then  you're probably no stranger to this warning, but please be careful when putting in your lenses, especially with longer nails like these!!

Fairytale Boutique's Website~ My Experience

Now then, for Christmas, from my gracious uncle, I got $100... Naturally, I immediately started scheming as to how I could get the biggest bang for my buck. I settled on buying two books/mooks that I'd been wanting for a while and, because it was there and said 'buy me!', a signed Misako Aoki 2015 calender. With shipping, it only cost me $2, and it cost my uncle the full $100. So, to put it simply, this was a LOT OF MONEY! And so, I ordered, all gleeful... And within the normal 2-3 business days, I got my 'your order is complete' email. But then almost a week passed, and still nothing.

I realize that I live on the east coast, and that they're on the west coast, but still, I had never had a package take that long when it was shipping from the USA... maybe when shipping from China, but never the USA! And so, I decided to contact them.
Did I mention that I bought it a few days before the new year? 'Cause personally, I think that that's where everything went wrong...

But anyways, I contacted them, and within 24 hours, they got back to me, asking for my order#. So, of course, I gave it to them right away! Then came the waiting... again! It almost reached the 48 hour mark when they emailed me back, giving me a tracking number. And, of course, I immediately tracked my package, and the tracking number said not only that my package was coming today, but also that it hadn't been given to the post office until the day they had asked for my order#. Soooo... Imma assume that Fairytale kinda lost my order/thought that they had shipped it out, but they hadn't? Either way, the new year is most likely to blame... But I was still upset, and thus, even though I am BEYOND HAPPY with the products, I am sorta complaining.

Unboxing below~

Long Overdue, Negative Review (ilovecirclelenses.com)

I have always been a faithful, loyal person... When I find something that works, I stick to it.
However, I feel that I should address this issue, even though, for all I know, it could be fixed by now.
ilovecirclelenses.com, to put it simply, sort of betrayed my trust. After years of orders, great orders with excellent shipping, they seemed to disappear from the face of the earth. And after ordering with them again, for what ended up being the last time, that's when it happened.

Now, I don't wish to particularly discredit them, I just want to warn others.

Back, waaaay back, around May, I ordered my lenses from them. I thought that all was well... but I was wrong. After many days, past the amount of time that it would've normally taken for the lenses to get to me, nothing had happened. So, naturally, I contacted them. They said nothing. So I contacted them again, and again, the last time telling them that I wanted to avoid opening a paypal dispute, but may have no choice but to. That got their attention. They sent me a tracking number, which I stalked for a day or two... only to have nothing happen. So, I contacted them again. And got nothing.

Throughout all of this, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, because, like I said earlier, I'm a loyal person who believes that "If it's not broke, don't fix it!"

And thus, the paypal battle began... Which is seriously overly dramatic since ilovecirclelenses did nothing. They didn't answer paypal. They said and did nothing once the dispute opened. And after a while, paypal gave up and just gave me my money back...

Sooo, yeah. Just warnin' ya, ilovecirclelenses.com pretty much doesn't exist anymore last time I checked... the website is there... but it doesn't seem like there is anyone working there anymore. :/

Baby, the Stars Shine Bright in New York City!!! :3

Alright, trip's over!
I will now share my experience at the one and only: Baby the Stars Shine Bright store in NYC!
The first day we got to New York, we went to the store immediately after we got to the hotel in NJ, rode a bus to NYC, then took the subway to the Baby store! Needless to say, for those of you that saw how I planned on dressing to go to the store, y'all can probably figure out that I was SWEATING TO DEATH! D:
"Why is this important?" you may ask... Trust me, it's important.

SO! We got to the Btssb/TokyoRebel store about 30 mins before closing or so (I wasn't paying attention to the time) I was drenched in sweat, so, of course, I didn't dare try anything on, but if I wanted to, I could've tried up to 5 items! (Which, duh, isn't that much in America, 'cause, I don't know about you, but I try on, like, 10 things minimum at most stores(Then again, most stores have a lot bigger selection than Baby-san))
Anyways! One of my best friends, who accompanied me on the trip, and is a complete gothic/punk/raver/sometimes lolita/whatever chick, she fell in love with the TokyoRebel side of the store... that's right, the store is one store with half the store in pink, and the other half in black, this confused the crap out of my mother, who thought for sure that it'd be two stories. XD
But, like I was saying, my friend tried on a SEX POT ReVeNGe shirt. White with black straps/buckles around the chest and arms, and with detachable black sleeves! And all along the bottom were these cool lace-y, tulle-y, netting stuff, that looked all torn up. IT WAS SWEET :D
Sadly, though, I've no pictures... 'cause no pictures are allowed in the store, my other friend learned that the hard way when she tried to get a picture of my gothic friend in the shirt and the Baby-san shop-girl put her hand in front of the camera, much to the horror of my other friend XD
EDIT: Actually, here's a picture of her shirt, 'cause I've finally looked it up on TokyoRebel's site... ^^;
2 Way Bondage Gauze Cutsew
It's called the 2-way bondage gauze cutsew
Back to me, yes?
While my friend was trying on the shirt, I was trying out the Usakumya-chan pochette. I'm pretty sure that the shop staff thought I was nutty, since I immediately went up to the counter, asked to see a usakumya pochette, then asked to rip it's hood off and stick my hand down there.

You might be yelling at me that I'm a tactless idiot, but I was spending almost all my money at this store, on this thing, and I wanted to make sure that my hand could even fit inside!

But the shop staff, if they did think I was nutty, it didn't show. The TokyoRebel shop-girl was at the counter, so she dealt with most of my craziness, and she was soooo nice, and cool-looking! She just asked me what color I wanted, to which I replied, "Pink!" She knew which on I wanted since they only had the one type that had any pink on it, and she grabbed it and handed it to me. That was when I asked if I could open it and see if my hand would get down there. Her smile faltered, most likely because she wasn't sure if she was going to make the sale anymore, but she nodded, pulled the hood off for me, unzipped it, and handed it back to me. The only thing? My hands were VERY SWEATY...
But I tried! I stuck my hand as far down as it would go! And it didn't go past the neck 'cause my hands were sticky! D:
That's when my mom stepped in, took it from me and stuck her hand all the way to the bottom, and I knew that her hands were either bigger or the same size as mine, so I went ahead and asked to buy it. The shop-girl asked me if I wanted the one I had been messing with, or a new, shrink-wrapped one, I felt bad that I had stuffed my sweaty hands down into the display one, so I took the display one!
While my mom was paying, I chatted to the Baby-san shop-girl, she was nice, though she gave off a slightly elitist air, but that easily could've just been my paranoia since I was wearing a 'lesser brand': Bodyline. Which upped my self-consciousness at the 'big brand' store. But she talked with me,and we chatted about the only remaining headdress in stock. And the moment I said, "I'm cheating," while talking about my head accessory ('cause I kinda DID cheat since I didn't use something meant for the head on my head...) she jumped right in and said, "No you aren't, it's just different from our stuff!" Which really made my paranoia go down some...
And she was really cute...

Back to the pochette!
My mother had bought it, and passed it back to me. I began trying to stick things in it immediately.
NOTE: Things the size of or bigger than a large-ish wallet will NOT FIT!
My phone, thankfully, did. (And I think I gave the shop staff a heart attack when the tone of my voice became gruff and I muttered, "If not even my phone fits in here, we're gonna have a problem...")

While my friend was buying her shirt, the Baby-san shop-girl helped me put the pochette on and loosened the strap for me, so I could wear it across my body. Then my mom kept asking me if I needed a drink (which I'm pretty sure aren't allowed in the store, so I said 'no'), and then she asked the TokyoRebel shop-girl for a tissue. The shop-girl replied that she didn't have any tissues, but she had paper towels! So I took one and blotted my sweaty face, and when I was done I asked where the trashcan was, and to that, the shop-girl said, "I'll just take it for you." AND SHE TOOK MY GROSS AND SWEATY PAPER TOWEL AND THREW IT AWAY! HOW NICE IS THAT?! I mean, I'm pretty sure that the trashcan was behind the counter, so she couldn't let me back there of course, but still! It was nice that, without a single flinch or groan, she took something so gross and threw it away for me!

SO TL;DR:
I LOVE THE STORE!
The shop staff (for that day, at least) were soooo nice! And didn't seem to be completely disgusted with my super sweaty self, and didn't seem to really care that I wasn't wearing Baby! And while I was there, I saw lots of people that weren't even wearing lolita coming in and looking around! And the shop staff were nothing but nice to them!

Usakumya pochette
This be the kind of adorable usakumya-chan pochette that I got!

False Lash Review: Dolly Wink no. 10 (Sweet Cat)

Hello~ I'm finally getting up off my big lazy butt and writing a review!
Obviously, as said by the title, it's for the Dolly Wink no. 10 false eyelashes! (Also known as 'Dolly Wink: Sweet Cat') I've had these for a while, and have only worn them a couple of times(once in my house, and once to a BJD meetup), but I must say, they're rather spectacular!Let's have a look-see, yes?

A look at how Tsubasa wears them, shown on the packaging.

Now, this was taken after I had worn the top pair for the first time, thus the whole 'they aren't perfect-looking-ness'. Now, these are my first criss-cross, 'natural', lashes. And I say that they do their job of looking natural, all while looking so wonderfully unnatural, because, I mean really, who has lashes this long and luxurious-looking? It takes some work to get them looking completely like your real lashes (It involves a lot of pushing some areas up and some areas down... for my eyes at least...). It comes with glue, which I don't trust due to my natural paranoia... even though, with my last pair of Dolly Winks, I used it and it worked great!
Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of the packaging, but it looks the same as my Dolly Wink no. 1, except this one is purple. It's still a cute little perfume/ shampoo/ body wash/ something toiletries-ish bottle.
Let's have a look at how they look on, yes?

This is with them both on... This was the first time I had worn them, so please excuse my uncomplimentary make-up

And here it is with only one on, so you can see the difference it makes
In my opinion, the last picture, the one of me only wearing one, shows you exactly how big a difference a simple false eyelash can make! Again, this is just my opinion, but I believe that the eye with the eyelash looks more open and awake, maybe even a little more 'come-hither'.
NOW, WARNING TIME!
The lash band is BLACK, which means that either one of two things is gonna happen with these lashes: 1) If you put it on without any eyeliner, it will give you eyeliner. 2) If you put it on without any eyeliner and it's not perfectly placed, it's gonna look funky (not the good kind of funk).

Now that that's out of the way, SELCA/ SELFIE TIME~
(I will forever prefer 'selca' over 'selfie' since 'selca' was first and it's name makes more sense ('self-camera'), plus, I love k-pop)

The wig I'm wearing can actually be bought a Pretty and Cute!

Circle Lens Review~ Max Misty Brown on light eyes

Haha~ Long overdue review is coming your way! I got these complimentary a while back, due to a mess up with my order, from ilovecirclelenses.com. If you check out my Candy Magic Violet review, you'll see me talk about the lenses shortly and go more in depth as to what the mess up was. Now, these are weird (good weird) lenses, lemme tell you why.

Design: This is where the weirdness starts. They have about two or three colors in them, the weirdness is the color choices. But this isn't really the color section, so I'll focus more on the design.
Which features a good-sized ring around the edge, and a nice blending of colors.

Color: Onto the real weirdness~!! They are, I swear, yellow. Even the darker, supposedly brown, parts towards the outside are really rather golden. BUT, this works! Why? Because my eyes' innermost color is actually gold/yellow/ridiculously light brown. SO, it actually blends in rather well!

Enlargement: Pretty nice... IDK if I'm just simply becoming desensitized to enlargement, but nothing seems to really make my eyes look huge anymore. I feel that I've lost my objectivity... ANYWAYS~ C: They are, I believe, only 14.5mm, which is small for a circle lens.

Comfort: Very nice~ I like~

Suited for light eyes?
Hmm... I think so~! They blend in well with the one color that pretty much everyone has in their eyes: gold/yellow/ridiculously light brown! :)

Circle Lens Review~ Magic Eye Diacut Amethyst on light eyes

Bonjour~! Is everyone having a good day? ...Well, I'm not really.
Why?
Because my fancy fancy expensive circle lenses don't look amazing on my eyes!
Now, I can't really complain however, since they were complimentary because of some mess ups with my order. (I <3 ilovecirclelenses.com! They're so nice!) And thus, the review begins~

Design: Now, as the name says, it is a gemstone-esque design. In this case, due to the color, it is based off an amethyst. It literally looks rather like a purple diamond in a brilliant cut. It has a good sized ring... but has a large pupil hole and no colors to possibly blend into my eye.

Color: They look like a light purple, rather lilac-y off, but look rather dark on. It's more obviously purple than the candy magic purples for some reason... It's interesting. :P

Enlargement: Hmm, well, it has a rather nice enlargement... But, well, it's just not big enough for me, personally. It doesn't seem to enlarge my eye a lot. Though, it does enlarge.

Comfort: uhhh... I know that these are 'premium lenses' and whatever, but... I've yet to wear them without ANY irritation. However, they DO let my eyes breathe more, due to their nifty super-thinness. It may just be the batch.. I'll have to wait until I try the crystal... or was it diamond? Either way, the gray ones!

Suited for light eyes?
I don't really think so.. unless you want the stark difference between your eyes and your fake eyes.

Circle Lens Review~ EOS Ice Gray/Grey on light eyes

Whoo~~! After years of searching, I think that it may have been found! 'What is it?' you may ask... well, anyone that has looked at this blog should know my quest, when it comes to circle lenses, which is: CIRCLE LENSES SUITED FOR LIGHT(blue) EYES!
Now, I believe that I may have found one... Let's see, shall we?

Design: It's really rather simple, not as simple as some other lenses I've had, but pretty simple (which is probably one of the reasons why it works). It's just a little, thin ring around the edge, with some lines going through to about halfway to the middle. And throughout, is a nice light gray.

Color: They're gray (or grey, however you happen to spell it). And one thing that circle lenses has forced me to realize, is this: eyes have a lot of colors in them. (duh) My own eyes have about three colors, and depending upon how big the pupil hole is for the lenses, the color of lens that I need will change. This lens has a rather large pupil hole, so I went with gray ('cause that's the outermost color on my real eye). AND IT MATCHES, LIKE, PERFECTLY! <3 I seriously can't tell where my eyes begin to blend into the lens.

Enlargement: Surprisingly, despite the light color, and despite the small ring, it ENLARGES. Like... LOOK DOWN BELOW... But, at the same time, it just blends in so well, and the ring isn't overwhelming, so it looks NATURAL! C: If I was having a lazy day, and didn't feel like putting on any eye makeup, I just might be able to get away with it XD

Comfort: Wonderful~~~! Need I say more? No? Well, I shall anyways~
1. They went in easy, despite the size.
2. They didn't dry out fast or anything.
3(sorta a continuation of 2). I can wear them for a long time... probably longer than I should ^^;

Suited for light eyes??
As I said earlier, I think these may be the ones... But, as far as how they'd work for other eyes? Well... If your eyes are like mine, buy them if you want them. If your eyes are green, well, I'm not sure then. However, gray eyes? This lens is a true gray, as in, it looks like the gray eye color, so y'all should have no problem.

Circle Lens Review~ Candy Magic King Size Violet on light eyes

Wassup?! It's been forever since I have done a review on circle lenses! Everything has been, lolita this, BJD that, lately... And, since I've been wasting all my money on those things, I haven't been wasting my money on circle lenses! But... since my old pairs dried up/got old, I got to buy one new pair! And I had decided on the Candy Magic Green, but... since I bought them during the whole 'Black Friday'/ 'Cyber Monday' time of year, they were out of stock in my prescription. But they (by 'they' I mean ilovecirclelenses.com) didn't realize that when they took my money. SO! Being the super nice people that they are, they offered me different pair of my choice, and a free mystery pair for the inconvenience! <3
I chose the Candy Magic Violet from their site, and they sent me Max Misty Brown for free!

Onto le review~!

Design: Personally, I love the Candy Magic series. They have an excellent design and nice color. Now, I know that these designs show up a bit more opaque on light colored eyes since there isn't this dark color behind it to show through. They have a dark ring on the outer circle, making them circle-ish circle lenses :P and also providing the all important enlarging effect. Also, I know that these aren't the most natural lenses. They are more suited for the round, dolly-eyed gyaru look than any normal look. Try and wear at least some eyeliner with these lenses to balance them out.

Color: They're freakin' PURPLE! D: (or should I say: :D ) Purple, of course, is not a color that occurs naturally in one's eyeballs... But no worries! These aren't super noticeably purple, in fact, they look rather brown unless in strong light. For instance, I wore these to my lolita group's Christmas party, and no one even noticed that they were purple until I pointed it out to them... They all thought that my eyes were brown. Only downside? It IS, indeed, purple. So... unless you have huge pupils, or have eyes so dark that your whole eye looks like a pupil, it's gonna look weird since it's not a normal color, so it's harder to create the illusion of it being your real eye color.

Enlargement: In my opinion, this is the most important part of a circle lens' design, whether it provides enlarging effects or not. This design provides an excellent enlargement with its thick black ring. Big and dolly-like! Especially these. For some reason, in my opinion, darker circle lens provide better enlargement...no idea why. :/ The downside, is that, sadly, it IS indeed a bit too large to go without making yourself up some to prevent looking like an alien.
Comfort: Hmm... Well, they slipped right on in easy and comfortably, but they seem to dry out quicker than my other Candy Magics. It may have something to do with the color? But it's most likely just the batch...

Suited for light eyes?
Uh.. for the first time, I'm not sure... 'Cause they work well on my eyes, but that's only because I have large pupils, so most/all of my real eye color is covered most of the time. But... from what I've seen from areas with strong light, when my pupils get smaller, I'm not sure....

Reveiw: Angelic Pretty Etoile Twins/ Twins Etoile Bustier JSK

Uhm... Hi? Again, I feel that I must apologize for neglecting my blog for so long... But I'm back, with a much overdue review of AP's Etoile Twins~!
Etoile (star) is actually the highest level that a ballerina can attain, higher than even prima ballerina, though, this term is generally not used in many ballet companies now... Except for the French, but, hey, it's their term, so... I digress.
My point was that, well, of course it was going to be a ballet themed print! In fact, I probably would've been very disappointed if they had literally taken twin stars and stuck them on the dress. NOT. CUTE. (To me at least... Ballet, however, I LOVE) ...Again, I digress.

Let's begin, shall we?

Now, I was very skeptical as to how much nicer a 'big brand' dress could be...and I'm still kind of skeptical. I mean, without a doubt, it's nicer, for starters, it has lining! But, I do have one complaint, and with Bodyline, I didn't really have any complaints on my favorite dress by them... But anyways, the ZIPPER! It just simply FRUSTRATES ME to no end. I know that I shouldn't expect perfect zippers from everyone, but this is one of the biggest brands in lolita! And I know that it's not not going up because of my size, because I can easily stretch the dress more. My point is that I HATE the zipper. Not just because it's difficult to zip, but because it's past being difficult! Every time I wear this dress, I get a blister on my finger where I was holding the zipper! (Hey! Beauty is pain!) But other than that ZIPPER, it's a absolutely gorgeous dress, made of a lovely and light chiffon-ish material, perfect for summer!

This bow is removable

The print, isn't it cute~?!

I can only assume (most likely correctly) that these would be the etoile twins

Here's it in motion and another review I did on it:

So, all in all, lovely dress, evil zipper, removable waistties and bow, fake AND real corset lacing, twins, swans with crowns, pointe shoes that turn into Angelic Pretty, bubbles everywhere, and... I'm running out of things to say... just watch the video to see whatever I might've forgotten to say here~!
