Long Overdue, Negative Review (ilovecirclelenses.com)

I have always been a faithful, loyal person... When I find something that works, I stick to it.
However, I feel that I should address this issue, even though, for all I know, it could be fixed by now.
ilovecirclelenses.com, to put it simply, sort of betrayed my trust. After years of orders, great orders with excellent shipping, they seemed to disappear from the face of the earth. And after ordering with them again, for what ended up being the last time, that's when it happened.

Now, I don't wish to particularly discredit them, I just want to warn others.

Back, waaaay back, around May, I ordered my lenses from them. I thought that all was well... but I was wrong. After many days, past the amount of time that it would've normally taken for the lenses to get to me, nothing had happened. So, naturally, I contacted them. They said nothing. So I contacted them again, and again, the last time telling them that I wanted to avoid opening a paypal dispute, but may have no choice but to. That got their attention. They sent me a tracking number, which I stalked for a day or two... only to have nothing happen. So, I contacted them again. And got nothing.

Throughout all of this, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, because, like I said earlier, I'm a loyal person who believes that "If it's not broke, don't fix it!"

And thus, the paypal battle began... Which is seriously overly dramatic since ilovecirclelenses did nothing. They didn't answer paypal. They said and did nothing once the dispute opened. And after a while, paypal gave up and just gave me my money back...

Sooo, yeah. Just warnin' ya, ilovecirclelenses.com pretty much doesn't exist anymore last time I checked... the website is there... but it doesn't seem like there is anyone working there anymore. :/

Circle Lens Review~ Max Misty Brown on light eyes

Haha~ Long overdue review is coming your way! I got these complimentary a while back, due to a mess up with my order, from ilovecirclelenses.com. If you check out my Candy Magic Violet review, you'll see me talk about the lenses shortly and go more in depth as to what the mess up was. Now, these are weird (good weird) lenses, lemme tell you why.

Design: This is where the weirdness starts. They have about two or three colors in them, the weirdness is the color choices. But this isn't really the color section, so I'll focus more on the design.
Which features a good-sized ring around the edge, and a nice blending of colors.

Color: Onto the real weirdness~!! They are, I swear, yellow. Even the darker, supposedly brown, parts towards the outside are really rather golden. BUT, this works! Why? Because my eyes' innermost color is actually gold/yellow/ridiculously light brown. SO, it actually blends in rather well!

Enlargement: Pretty nice... IDK if I'm just simply becoming desensitized to enlargement, but nothing seems to really make my eyes look huge anymore. I feel that I've lost my objectivity... ANYWAYS~ C: They are, I believe, only 14.5mm, which is small for a circle lens.

Comfort: Very nice~ I like~

Suited for light eyes?
Hmm... I think so~! They blend in well with the one color that pretty much everyone has in their eyes: gold/yellow/ridiculously light brown! :)

Circle Lens Review~ Magic Eye Diacut Amethyst on light eyes

Bonjour~! Is everyone having a good day? ...Well, I'm not really.
Why?
Because my fancy fancy expensive circle lenses don't look amazing on my eyes!
Now, I can't really complain however, since they were complimentary because of some mess ups with my order. (I <3 ilovecirclelenses.com! They're so nice!) And thus, the review begins~

Design: Now, as the name says, it is a gemstone-esque design. In this case, due to the color, it is based off an amethyst. It literally looks rather like a purple diamond in a brilliant cut. It has a good sized ring... but has a large pupil hole and no colors to possibly blend into my eye.

Color: They look like a light purple, rather lilac-y off, but look rather dark on. It's more obviously purple than the candy magic purples for some reason... It's interesting. :P

Enlargement: Hmm, well, it has a rather nice enlargement... But, well, it's just not big enough for me, personally. It doesn't seem to enlarge my eye a lot. Though, it does enlarge.

Comfort: uhhh... I know that these are 'premium lenses' and whatever, but... I've yet to wear them without ANY irritation. However, they DO let my eyes breathe more, due to their nifty super-thinness. It may just be the batch.. I'll have to wait until I try the crystal... or was it diamond? Either way, the gray ones!

Suited for light eyes?
I don't really think so.. unless you want the stark difference between your eyes and your fake eyes.

Circle Lens Review~ EOS Ice Gray/Grey on light eyes

Whoo~~! After years of searching, I think that it may have been found! 'What is it?' you may ask... well, anyone that has looked at this blog should know my quest, when it comes to circle lenses, which is: CIRCLE LENSES SUITED FOR LIGHT(blue) EYES!
Now, I believe that I may have found one... Let's see, shall we?

Design: It's really rather simple, not as simple as some other lenses I've had, but pretty simple (which is probably one of the reasons why it works). It's just a little, thin ring around the edge, with some lines going through to about halfway to the middle. And throughout, is a nice light gray.

Color: They're gray (or grey, however you happen to spell it). And one thing that circle lenses has forced me to realize, is this: eyes have a lot of colors in them. (duh) My own eyes have about three colors, and depending upon how big the pupil hole is for the lenses, the color of lens that I need will change. This lens has a rather large pupil hole, so I went with gray ('cause that's the outermost color on my real eye). AND IT MATCHES, LIKE, PERFECTLY! <3 I seriously can't tell where my eyes begin to blend into the lens.

Enlargement: Surprisingly, despite the light color, and despite the small ring, it ENLARGES. Like... LOOK DOWN BELOW... But, at the same time, it just blends in so well, and the ring isn't overwhelming, so it looks NATURAL! C: If I was having a lazy day, and didn't feel like putting on any eye makeup, I just might be able to get away with it XD

Comfort: Wonderful~~~! Need I say more? No? Well, I shall anyways~
1. They went in easy, despite the size.
2. They didn't dry out fast or anything.
3(sorta a continuation of 2). I can wear them for a long time... probably longer than I should ^^;

Suited for light eyes??
As I said earlier, I think these may be the ones... But, as far as how they'd work for other eyes? Well... If your eyes are like mine, buy them if you want them. If your eyes are green, well, I'm not sure then. However, gray eyes? This lens is a true gray, as in, it looks like the gray eye color, so y'all should have no problem.

Circle Lens Review~ Candy Magic King Size Violet on light eyes

Wassup?! It's been forever since I have done a review on circle lenses! Everything has been, lolita this, BJD that, lately... And, since I've been wasting all my money on those things, I haven't been wasting my money on circle lenses! But... since my old pairs dried up/got old, I got to buy one new pair! And I had decided on the Candy Magic Green, but... since I bought them during the whole 'Black Friday'/ 'Cyber Monday' time of year, they were out of stock in my prescription. But they (by 'they' I mean ilovecirclelenses.com) didn't realize that when they took my money. SO! Being the super nice people that they are, they offered me different pair of my choice, and a free mystery pair for the inconvenience! <3
I chose the Candy Magic Violet from their site, and they sent me Max Misty Brown for free!

Onto le review~!

Design: Personally, I love the Candy Magic series. They have an excellent design and nice color. Now, I know that these designs show up a bit more opaque on light colored eyes since there isn't this dark color behind it to show through. They have a dark ring on the outer circle, making them circle-ish circle lenses :P and also providing the all important enlarging effect. Also, I know that these aren't the most natural lenses. They are more suited for the round, dolly-eyed gyaru look than any normal look. Try and wear at least some eyeliner with these lenses to balance them out.

Color: They're freakin' PURPLE! D: (or should I say: :D ) Purple, of course, is not a color that occurs naturally in one's eyeballs... But no worries! These aren't super noticeably purple, in fact, they look rather brown unless in strong light. For instance, I wore these to my lolita group's Christmas party, and no one even noticed that they were purple until I pointed it out to them... They all thought that my eyes were brown. Only downside? It IS, indeed, purple. So... unless you have huge pupils, or have eyes so dark that your whole eye looks like a pupil, it's gonna look weird since it's not a normal color, so it's harder to create the illusion of it being your real eye color.

Enlargement: In my opinion, this is the most important part of a circle lens' design, whether it provides enlarging effects or not. This design provides an excellent enlargement with its thick black ring. Big and dolly-like! Especially these. For some reason, in my opinion, darker circle lens provide better enlargement...no idea why. :/ The downside, is that, sadly, it IS indeed a bit too large to go without making yourself up some to prevent looking like an alien.
Comfort: Hmm... Well, they slipped right on in easy and comfortably, but they seem to dry out quicker than my other Candy Magics. It may have something to do with the color? But it's most likely just the batch...

Suited for light eyes?
Uh.. for the first time, I'm not sure... 'Cause they work well on my eyes, but that's only because I have large pupils, so most/all of my real eye color is covered most of the time. But... from what I've seen from areas with strong light, when my pupils get smaller, I'm not sure....

Circle Lens Review~ Candy Magic King Size Brown on light eyes

Okay, the long awaited BROWN circle lens review! i know what you're thinking: "Brown lenses?! ...on blue eyes?" Well, I wanted that true dolly-eyed look that only dark circle lenses seem to be able to give, and they were going to be free so...I FIGURED, "WHY NOT?" :9 Now, those of you with green, or hazel, eyes are going to be able to work these better, there is simply no contest. I mean, hazel: your eyes are almost brown. And green? They tend to have brown around their pupils (just basing it off what I've seen on people like my mom, who has green eyes that she claims to be hazel sometimes, and green other times). Bought at ilovecirclelenses.com yet again!(and because this might confuse some people, this lens has two names, in the title, I just combined them, I guess? On ilovecirclelenses.com, its just candy magic brown) Now then, I think I've talk enough, lets get on to the pictures and stuff~! C:

Design: Personally, I love the Candy Magic series. They have an excellent design and nice color. Now, I know that these designs show up a bit more opaque on light colored eyes since there isn't this dark color behind it to show through. They have a dark ring on the outer circle, making them circle-ish circle lenses :P and also providing the all important enlarging effect. Also, I know that these aren't the most natural lenses. They are more suited for the round, dolly-eyed gyaru look than any normal look. Try and wear at least some eyeliner with these lenses to balance them out.

Color: They are...BROWN. (as I've already stated multiple times) a very light brown (almost caramel). Or at least that's what I thought before I put them on. When I just watched reviews, which were all on people with dark brown eyes, they looked seriously light. And if they looked light on a dark background, what on Earth were they going to look like on a light background? O.O They're going to look darker for some reason! -is confused-

Comfort: OMG! SO COMFY~ :3 Normally, circle lens sting a bit when i first put them in, or I can feel them on my eyes for like an hour, then they disappear into my eyes, but I didn't have such problems with these C: I guess I just got lucky~!

Suited for light eyes?
Surprisingly works rather well, as long as you aren't taking CLOSE up pictures with flash... XD

Circle Lens Review: EOS Tear Blue on light eyes

Okays~ c: I promised y'all a different kind of circle lens review before I did the brown candy magic, well, I'm making good on my promise. XD ( bought from ilovecirclelenses.com )

REVIEW START~

Design: Okay, these things have got a seriously natural design. There's barely anything to it, just a little pale ring around your iris and some thin lines in the shape of three slanted triangles. Depending on the color you get, the lines change color.

Color: I got these in blue (I had previously bought them in brown/gold...it didn't work out), and I have to say, they match my eye color perfectly! :D Well, they're a little bit more blue than my eyes are, but that's exactly what i was looking for, something to brighten up my eyes, you know? When I wear them, my eyes transform from my normal eyes to a slightly bluer version, a better and brighter version of my own eyes. It's still my eyes, just a little bit better. C:
Enlargement: There is little to no enlargement to these lenses...I'm pretty sure the only reason they're categorized as circle lens is because they have the only real requirement to be a circle lens: a circle. Now, don't get me wrong, they DO enlarge and are great for a really natural look (like I said up there ^ it's still your eyes, just better, unlike most circle lenses that completely change your eyes).

Comfort: These babies are the same diameter as my normal contact lenses, so naturally, they disappear on my eyes :3 They're sooo comfy! It was no different than my other prescription lenses!
Suitable for light eyes?
Only if you have blue or gray eyes for this color...i think it'll look kinda weird in green eyes... :/

Circle Lens Review~ Candy Magic King size Blue on light eyes

Alrightie~ C: Time for my second circle lens review and, surprise, surprise, surprise, it's another candy magic king size! No worries, I plan on giving you a short break with a different kind of lens between this and the brown one :P Again, bought from ilovecirclelenses.com

OKAY! REVIEW...START! :D

Color: Now, I have blue eyes, these are blue lenses...it's kind of obvious that they should match my eyes. (NOTE THAT I SAID 'SHOULD') They are DARK! I mean, out of your eyeballs, they look perfectly light...not as light as my eyes, but lighter than they look on. They look a nice...I don't know, almost blue blue? It's too dark to be normal blue blue, but it's not dark enough to be dark blue. I don't know, and I digress, but whatever. ON, however, they look dark blue, which I was not expecting. Since they said 'blue', I had foolishly thought that they meant an actual blue that was close to the eye color blue, I don't even know anyone with eyes that dark of a blue, so I kinda doubt that they exist. Maybe I'm wrong and only have light colored eyes to go off of... :/ ANYWAYS, I like them. Despite the fact that I regretted my purchase a little bit when i realized how dark they were, they do complement my eyes a bit, bringing out my greenish middles that I hadn't even really realized that I had before. XD

Enlargement: In my opinion, this is the most important part of a circle lens' design, whether it provides enlarging effects or not. This design provides an excellent enlargement. Big and dolly-like! The downside, is that, sadly, it IS indeed a bit too large to go without making yourself up some to prevent looking like an alien

Comfort: Now then, the first time I put these in, they stung a bit. But a few blinks and POOF! it was gone, disappeared on my eyeball. Sometimes I have the same problem with my normal prescription lenses, so I thought nothing of it and won't. :) I just figure that it's the fact that I got my daddy's sensitive eyes (yes, that's right, I'm a person with sensitive eyes, that gets corneal abrasions and stuff easily, that wears circle lens and NO, as long as you take good care of them, everything is good...for me, at least)

Suited for light eyes?
EH...I suppose, they'd work better for green eyes I think

Circle lens review~ Candy Magic King size Gray on light eyes

Alright...I've decided to do something that I've noticed there aren't a lot of: Circle lens reviews for people with light colored eyes, like blue~ My first pair will be Candy Magic King size Gray I bought from ilovecirclelenses.com. (which, btw, has an awesome sale going on right now, for november, of buy two get one (of your choice) free!!) Now, my first thoughts on this pair were that they wouldn't really look weird on my eyes since its a light color and my eyes are a light color. My eyes have some gray tones to them already, so...yeah! :P

Okay...review START! :D

Color: Alright. The color, is gray! (no, duh) But seriously...It's a pretty dark gray. I was expecting something a bit lighter, something like real gray eyes, instead I got this charcoal gray color that made my eyes look dark and brooding instead of bright and clear like I was hoping. The color itself appears to be pretty opaque, I'll wait until I get the Candy Magic Brown to decide that (since that one'll be changing my eye color pretty dramatically).

Enlargement: In my opinion, this is the most important part of a circle lens' design, whether it provides enlarging effects or not. This design provides an excellent enlargement. Big and dolly-like! The downside, is that, sadly, it IS indeed a bit too large to go without making yourself up some to prevent looking like an alien.

Comfort: Well...truthfully, I've had these lenses for a long time, so they're starting to get a little uncomfortable. But that's normal, and just the lifespan of a lens (the lifespan of these are about a year, with wearing them every now and then, not everyday like I do). HOWEVER! When I first got them, they were wonderful~ It was my first time wearing 14.5 mm lenses, but it was so comfortable! The water content is the same as my normal prescription lenses, so they don't really dry out fast or nothing. The other specs are the same as most prescription lenses, such as the curve...just not the diameter... ^^;

Suited for light eyes?
YES C:

Alrightie~ This one is the lens with low flash (please pardon my big nose... =.=' )

This one's them with natural light from the window in my bathroom (no, i don't know what a window is doing in a bathroom)
And~~ Indoor lights
One in, one out... I like the enlarging effect (and how it makes my eyes look rounder)

None at all, just me! :P
